 Irritating and flawed product September 1, 2010

Without doubt one of the worst pieces of s/ware I have used - I have fought with this rotton application now for weeks and have ultimately removed it from my system. I am no slouch with pc's and run a clean & reasonably powerful system but this s/ware just clunks along. It feels slow and is surprisingly un-intuitive in areas. There are minor bugs all over the place that, although they don't stop the prog working, just make the overall experience un-enjoyable. I mean, it even took 12 minutes to un-install! I am using NCH products now that are lean - ultra fast and a joy to use. Beleive me - even for £20 this is just not worth the hassle.

I upgraded to windows 7 and therefore had to buy a new burner. I previously had a Roxeo product. I ordered creator 2010 and as usual the goods arrived very quickly. The software will not install on my computer and Roxeo support is hopless. Don't buy this product.

What a way to waste an afternoon! It drove me mad trying to get it working on my laptop running Vista.
In fairness the support was quick to reply and point out how to use msconfig and disable start ups to load it, but reading down to the part where I needed to start tampering with the registry to get it to work on a bog-standard machine I lost the plot. I decided discretion was the better part of valour and returned it!
It's a shame because I like Roxio, I have an older version on my desktop running XP that I've had for years without any complaints, I guess I won't be updating that anytime soon though.

Excellent product and value. I have followed the series from Number 3. I needed this one as my last one would not work with my Windows 7.
Problems with Creator 2010 August 5, 2010

Roxio is an excellent piece of software if you can get it to work. I upgraded from EMC 10 which worked perfectly OK to Creator 2010 and then had problems. The first was with the Video graphics with DirectX. This was sorted and enabled me to access Videowave but I could not finalise the DVD. Several attempts were made and after waiting several hours for the last 3% I had to admit defeat. I took the computer to a specialist centre who Uninstalled all Roxio, checked the Registry and reinstalled. No success. Then it was discovered that there was a conflict between the Nero software, and the Roxio software. Completely removing Nero solved the problem and Roxio now works fine. I informed the Roxio Help Centre about this and recieved some convoluted reply that I coldn't really understand.
Conclusion. Good product and very efficient when you can get it to operate properly.
Customer and Technical support not as good. They assume that all people who but Roxio are experts, when many, like me, are only average.
