Plain and simple June 23, 2010 Marty (London, UK) I'm rough on 'stuff', it's a simple fact. I'm the guy who forgets to take his watch off before plunging his arm shoulder-deep into a blocked drain. Or I try to squeeze through a door carrying something and grind my watch along a brick wall, that kind of thing. Which is why in the early 80s I got all excited about Casio making nice cheap watches that, while very functional, I wasn't going to shed a tear over once I had destroyed them. If I could make one last for a year I'd get excellent ROI, thank you very much!
Sadly, after a few years, these watches seemed to disappear from the shops to be replaced by more expensive models and I thought, "That's progress for you!" Years later again I got an email from Amazon offering those exact same watches for sale and I realised that it was just that retailers weren't stocking them- not enough mark-up! Casio was still making them, but the shops weren't selling them!
So, full marks to Amazon for giving the people what they want, and full makrs to Casio for sticking with the old favourites. I was so impressed that I bought two- the digital Casio W-86-1VQES Men's Digital Resin Strap Watch and the nicely understated analogue Casio MQ-24-7BLL Mens Analogue Resin Strap watch.
Casio W-86-1VQES May 13, 2010 Mr. P. J. Fancote (kent,uk) Casio W-86-1VQES Men's Digital Resin Strap WatchWhat a cracking watch at an incredible price-really good value.
Bought for outdoor use -camping,hiking.scouting etc.,but it's smart enough for all occasions
Greta light May 12, 2010 John Rothwell Always liked Casio watches but the blue illumination of the screen makes it much easier to read and look cool. Dead cheap as well, in fact cheaper than similar Casio watches I have purchased as far back as ten years ago.
Does what is says on the tin! May 12, 2010 R. D. S. Craig Goes on your wrist and tells the time, has a cool light and a stopwatch!
Apparently pretty retro so no worries about wearing it all the time.
Bargin!
Does what it says on the tin! May 11, 2010 Anthony McGrath (Northern Ireland) Very cheap watch that does exactly what you need a watch to do - tell the time!
It's low profile means it will not catch on clothes or straps which is good.
Also has an alarm and stopwatch feature that are easy to use.
It is very easy to change the time when required.
Have had this watch over a year now, it was bought as a replacement to another Casio watch which was lost due to catching on straps, something which has never happened to this watch
