Waterproof issues August 25, 2010

I did read somewhere that this watch was only water resistant and not waterproof (i.e. would survive a splash but nothing more) Glad i saw this after i had purchased the watch as i wanted something for everyday use and thus waterproof. Well i have taken my watch into the shower, bath, local pool and white water kayaking and am pleased to say that these watery conditions have not affected my watch atall.
I love it - had a black plastic one in the 80's and being 38 i can enjoy being being fashionable all over again. Shame about my Rick Astley Cd's and floursecent socks though.

I'm a girl and own this watch and love it! I didn't shorten the bracelet, so it sits quite loose on the wrist, but I like it that way.

I bought this as a everyday watch, that kept time(suprisingly,something my other vastly more expensive watches couldn't do properly).
I've had it for 2 years now. I have worn this practically everyday.
I have the alarm set to ring everyday. I use the backlighting maybe twice a day. The stopwatch function doubles as my kitchen timer, also practically everyday.
Pros:
The build quality is superb, despite playing around with the clasp all day it hasn't failed me once. The buttons work everytime, first time. I haven't had to change the battery yet. It's a classic, smart enough for work and not too flash to be worn with jeans and a tshirt. The bracelet is easy to adjust and fits a large wrist easily.
Cons:
The chrome finish around the dial has (probably from repeated abuse to be fair) worn slightly and the metal underneath is a pinkish purple colour. Something that even I can only see by looking very closely.
Water resistant means it 'can' get wet, when washing my hands or in the rain, but I wouldn't (and don't) shower with it.
For the price it is a extremely good watch, and when (or should I say if) it stops working I'll probably just get another one. Can not reccomend this highly enough!

This watch takes you stright back to the 80's, does all the important things a watch should do, and is a great talking point. The watch is very attractive ad well made. If you want something a little different I don' think you could do much better than this. Alarm and stopwatch and little green backscreen light. Now to get out the astrowars.

I am a 37 year old Mum of two young children and feel very "on trend"!!! I get lots of remarks about my watch and it looks great on my wrist.I tried the ladies watch first but thought it too small.
The watch is so easy to use and I use the alarm so the kids know when it is bed time!
