SanDisc Extreme III SDHC 4GB Card March 7, 2010 J. Hardy (Rothbury,Northumberland) What can I say about this card except that that it works very well.It stores an enormous number of images and works well with my Canon EOS 500D when shooting HD movies.Highly recomended
EXTREMEly good March 7, 2010 Mark Leatherland (uk) does what it says on the tin, good size for my 12mp dslr, and fast, not had any lagging. compare the price to the high street, however the amazon prices do fluctuate, if you've got time, monitor before you buy
The only SD card you need to consider February 24, 2010 Mr. R. W. Davies If you need an SD card, buy a SanDisk Extreme III, it's as simple as that.
People will tell you card X is cheaper, or that card Y is more expensive, but the thing to remember is this:
SanDisk Extreme III SD cards are nearly as quick as the quickest and nearly as cheap as the cheapest.
Cheaper (read slower) cards will frustrate you with slow read/write speeds, whilst faster (read more expensive) cards will leave you with less cash to spend on the things you really want.
The 4GB card is my personal favourite SD card, as it holds just enough photos to avoid changing cards all the time, without being too big that you keep all your photos on one card (which can become a problem if your only card is lost/damaged). 4 of these in your DSLR bag and you're set for anything.
I've owned a number of SanDisk products over the years, and I have never had a problem with any of them, I wouldn't hesitate recommending them to anyone.
Extreme III SDHC 4GB Card February 24, 2010 Mr. Peter John Lyons (Bangor, Co. Down United Kingdom) This card works well with my EOS 500D in both still and video mode. A good buy at the price.
ensure you check camera capability and card specs February 18, 2010 J. R. Greenleaf (Winchester) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this card for my wife's Canon Ixus 55 only to discover that this 4 year old camera does not support SDHC cards (only up to a maximum of 2GB SD cards). I have since found that this is a common problem that has tripped up many unwary users. Before buying this card, ensure that your camera can support it.
So I gave this memory card to my daughter for her project work only to discover that this is the 20 Mb/s version and not the 30 Mb/s version that she has been using. Like many others, I would have thought that the older slower Extreme III cards would have been replaced with the faster version. Yet another trap for the unwary which again has caught many users. Oh well, I'm now older and wiser!
