I tried one of these. It was faulty.
It's a cheap item so my be worth the chance of getting a working one. But it's a lottery.

It may be my fault, but I assumed that this was for connecting two male scarts together. So two 1 metre scart cables joined either side of this product would give one the equivalent of a 2 metre length. Physically it does but no signal gets from one end to the other end in either direction.(e.g.DVD player/recorder to TV). BE WARNED!

I was looking to extended my gold-plated Xbox SCART cable with a 1.8m SCART, both gold plated. Both of the cables on their own have excellent picture/sound quality and I am happy to say using this product to join them together added no noticable degredation to either.

Works OK with no problems when connecting two SCART leads. Has, if I understand correctly, the correct "cross-connecting" of pins to match that in SCART leads, so that (for example) pin 1 of the first lead, which goes to pin 2 at its end, is routed via this coupler to pin 1 of the second lead - as it needs to be.

I needed to extend my scart connection from my tv to my Sky box. Bought two of these as thought the additional one would come in handy. Unfortunately none of the 2 worked; all I got was a blue screen! I've tried both of the scart leads direct from tv to box without the couplers and they work fine so I can only assume the couplers I have are faulty.
